Woman beaten to death over trivial issue in Habiganj

A 55-year old woman, Kadar Chan, has been beaten to death, and her husband, Gafur Mia has been injured by his rivals over a trivial issue in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj. The police notified that on Monday night, a fight ensued between Gafur and Jinnat Ali, both residents of Bahubal upazila's Tarapasha village. At one point, the dispute went out of hand, and Jinnat's men started beating Gafur and Kadar. Gafur has been taken to Habiganj District Hospital for treatment. Kadar, unfortunately, passed away on the way to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday morning. The Officer-in-charge of Bahubal District police station, Md Masuk Ali confirmed the incident and said: “The police are investigating the crime location.”
