At least 30 people have been injured and two have gone missing after a bus lost control and fell into Bangshai River in Madhupur upazila's Golabari area of Tangail district.
The incident took place at 9am on Tuesday.
Madhupur Fire Service Station Officer Delwar Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus from Dhanbari reached the Golabari area, and lost control and fell into Bangshai River.
Later, two fire service units and police rescued 30 people and sent them to the Madhupur Upazila Health Complex where some were referred to be taken to Tangail and Mymensingh medical college hospitals.
The search for the two missing was still ongoing as of filing of this report.
Among the injured, 10 are known to be in serious condition, Delwar said.
