A case has been filed with Islamic University (IU) police station over the attack on Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif filed the case against 15 unidentified people with the police station on Friday evening, Officer-in-Charge of IU police station Raton Sheikh said.
"Police are trying to find out the miscreants," the OC added.
On Friday morning, a group of unidentified miscreants attacked the VC felling trees on Jhenidah-Kushtia Highway near Baroda area in Jhenidah while the VC was returning to the campus from Dhaka.
