Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route have resumed after an hour's disruption caused by fog.
"The ferry services were disrupted from 8am on Saturday due to poor visibility caused by thick fog," said Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury, assistant general manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Aricha.
Later, the ferry services resumed around 9am as the fog disappeared, Nasir added, reports UNB.
Poor visibility caused by dense fog had forced suspension of ferry services on the key route.
Five ferries were stuck in the river channel. Nine ferries were stuck at Paturia and two others were forced to anchor at the Daulatdia terminal point, Dhaka Tribune's Manikganj correspondent reported.
Hundreds of vehicles were waiting on both ends with passengers and goods.
