Ferry services have resumed on the key Paturia-Daulatdia route after about an hour’s disruption due to heavy fog.
The services were halted from around 7:45am on Friday and dense fog brought down visibility, said Mohiuddin Rasel, the general manager (commerce) of Paturia ferry terminal of Bangladesh Inland River Transportation Corporation.
Quoting ferry masters, he said that ferry services were suspended on the route to avert accidents.
Eight ferries were anchored at Paturia and nine at Daulatdia during this time.
“Ferry services resumed around 9:15am when the fog dissipated,” Rasel said.
