Dense fog has forced authorities to suspend traffic on the Bangabandhu Bridge to avert accidents.
Vehicular movements were stopped from around 7:45am on Monday, Bangabandhu Bridge East police station Officer-in-Charge Asabur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune.
“The bridge will be opened to traffic once the fog dissipates,” he added.
At least 30 people were injured in a 13-vehicle pile-up on the bridge in dense fog on December 29.
