Update : 07 Dec 2017, 08:38 PM
A Bangladeshi youth has been shot dead by a group of miscreants in a town 90 kilometres from Johannesburg, South Africa. Anwar Hossain, 25, was gunned down in the shop he worked at around 7pm on Wednesday Bangladesh time, his family said on Thursday. The Bangladeshi expatriate, son of Rezaul Haque, hailed from Purba Chandrapur union in Feni’s Dagonbhuiyan upazila. Quoting his Bangladeshi acquaintances there, family members said the miscreants had shot him when he protested their attempt to extort money from him. They also said that Anwar had died on the spot from severe blood loss. Purba Chandrapur union’s Chairman Masud Raihan also confirmed Anwar’s death and said the body is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh in the next few days.
