Police constable goes missing while bathing in Padma

A river police constable has gone missing while bathing in the Padma River near the Old Mawa ferry ghat area in Munshiganj's Louhajang upazila. Louhajang police station Officer-in-Charge Md Anisur Rahman said Mawa river police outpost's Constable Jahid Hassan, 26, was taking a bath in the river around 12:45pm on Monday along with two of his colleagues - Sumon and Ajmeer. After Sumon and Ajmeer had returned to shore, they noticed that Jahid was no where in sight. Divers are conducting a frantic search for the missing police constable, who hails from Chuadanga district.
