The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court yesterday resumed hearing after 12 days on the war crimes appeal lodged by death row Jamaat leader Mohammad Kamaruzzamn.
The defence side yesterday read out the judgement of the International Crimes Tribunal for the second day.
Earlier, they completed reading out the testimonies of both prosecution and defence witnesses.
Muzahedul Islam Shahin, a defence counsel, told the Dhaka Tribune that two days might be needed to complete reading out the 215-page verdict. Then the argument stage would start, he said.
A four-member Appellate Division bench led by Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha resumes hearing today.
The apex court of the country was in a vacation from June 19-30.
