A total of 65 more people were admitted to hospitals across the country with dengue infection during the past 24 hours.
According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement, among the newly hospitalized dengue patients, 32 were admitted in Barishal division (outside city corporation areas), 11 in Chittagong division (outside city corporation areas).
One patient was hospitalized in Dhaka division (outside city corporation areas), 11 in Dhaka south city, 3 in Mymensingh division (outside city corporation areas), 1 in Sylhet division (outside city corporation areas), and 6 in Khulna division (outside city corporation areas).
During the same period, 54 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery. With this, the total number of patients discharged from hospitals this year has reached 3,542.
So far this year, a total of 3,776 people have been infected with dengue. Of them, 63.3% are male and 36.7% are female. Six people have died from the disease this year.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue, while 413 deaths were recorded from the disease.
In 2024, a total of 101,214 dengue cases were reported, and 575 people died from dengue.
