Five people died of dengue, and 1,366 new patients were hospitalized across the country in the 24 hours leading up to Tuesday morning.
With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 357 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new deaths, two were reported in the Dhaka North City Corporation area and Barisal division each and one was recorded in Rangpur division, it said.
Of the total fatalities, 53.1% were female and 46.9% were male.
Since January 1 this year, hospitals across the country have admitted 115,617 dengue patients. Of them, 109,316 have recovered.
