According to the speakers at the webinar, many individuals with mental health issues showed early symptoms throughout childhood and adolescence, which were either not recognized or not addressed.
They added that it has led to more severe mental health issues during adulthood, limiting their chances of leading a fulfilling life.
National Institute of Mental Health Associate Professor Dr Helal Uddin Ahmed said that there are ample policies, documents, and strategies related to adolescent mental health but now it’s time for the implementation.
