Bangladesh tallied another 261 Covid-19 deaths on Saturday, as the pandemic continues to wreak havoc in the country. The highest number of 101 patients died in Dhaka division.

Of the rest, 62 of the deaths were from Chittagong division, 45 from Khulna division, 16 from Mymensingh division, 12 from Barisal division, 10 from Rangpur division, eight from Rajshahi division, and seven from Sylhet division.
Also on Saturday, 8,136 positive cases were identified in the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Dhaka logged 3,977 cases, the highest among the divisions, followed by Chittagong with 2,577 and Khulna 428. Khulna reported 428 cases, Sylhet reported 352 cases, Rajshahi division reported 259 cases, Barisal reported 195 cases, Mymensingh reported 189 cases and Rangpur reported 159 cases.
