23.06C allocated for needy people affected by Covid-19 lockdown

All the DCs of 64 districts will get a share of the allotted fund for distribution

A total of Tk23.06 crore has been allocated for providing assistance to the poor, destitute and unemployed people in 64 districts who have been affected due to the ongoing lockdown that the government enforced for containing the spread of Covuid-19.

The amount was allocated on Sunday by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, said a press release on Monday.

As per the terms of allocation, all the deputy commissioners of 64 districts will get the share of the allotted money for distribution.

It is mentioned in the allotment letter that those who are eligible for humanitarian assistance, can get it by calling helpline number – 333.

As food assistance, a packet containing rice, pulses, oil, salt, and potatoes from the allotment will be sent to their homes.
