Covid-19 patients will be inoculated 28 days after they test negative, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has said.
DGHS Additional Director General (ADG) Meerjady Sabrina Flora, while talking to media on Wednesday, said: “There is a lot of information coming from many sources.
“However, the DGHS, in consultation with the World Health Organization (WHO), will provide vaccine jabs to Covid patients 28 days (four weeks) after they test negative for the virus."
“This duration will apply for both the first and second vaccine doses as a precaution against all possible adverse effects,” she added, reports Bangla Tribune.
When asked about the availability of the Covid vaccine certificates, DGHS informed that the ICT Ministry is working on it.
They said that the certificates will be uploaded in the system after one week and from then onwards people will be able to download them for use.
DGHS Director General Prof Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam was also present during the press briefing, among others.
