Md Mohsin, secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, has tested positive for Covid-19 and is undergoing treatment at the United Hospital.
The secretary was diagnosed with the disease on Friday and was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, Selim Hossain, the public relations officer of the ministry told Dhaka Tribune on Monday morning.
"Yes, the secretary has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been admitted to the United Hospital after he felt unwell," he said.

Selim Hossain also said: "His condition is not critical. He is still in the cabin without any ICU or ventilation support."
"He has cough and is having problem in talking," he added.
Secretary Mohsin is the latest top bureaucrat to be infected with coronavirus. Earlier, quite a few secretaries became the victims of the virus.
