Sajida Foundation, CVC Finance Limited extend healthcare services to Covid-19 patients

Sajida Foundation’s hospital in Narayanganj has provided treatment to over 350 Covid-19 patients so far

Sajida Foundation, in collaboration with CVC Finance Ltd, is installing three additional semi critical units at the Narayanganj Hospital in an effort to further strengthen the healthcare facilities to cope with the Covid-19 crisis. 

CVC Finance Ltd is providing the funding to install the three semi critical units with oxygen management facilities to treat moderately infected patients, and ensure that timely treatment is provided outside of the ICU, said a press release issued by Sajida Foundation.

CVC Finance Limited (CVCFL) is a financial institution regulated by Bangladesh Bank. CVC Finance offers a range of conventional and nonconventional products including whole range of deposit products, financing products for corporate clients, SMEs, consumers agricultural sector, venture capital and private equity schemes, climate financing products etc.

Sajida Foundation, and its team of doctors, nurses, and essential workers, have been at the frontline of the battle against Covid-19 from the very beginning. The organization’s 50-bed hospital in Narayanganj has been dedicated to the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

In collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the 15,000 square feet premise includes 4 ICUs, central oxygen supply, 18 semi critical units, ventilators, and 2 dialysis machines. The hospital has around 80 staff, 70 of whom have been directly trained by the DGHS to deal with Covid-19 patients. The hospital has so far treated over 350 patients.

Sajida Foundation aims to profoundly impact the lives of the urban poor while driving sustainable innovations throughout the nation. It currently works in 26 districts with 3,655 change makers across Bangladesh, according to the media release.
