A new batch of 140 Bangladesh nationals, who had been stranded in Malaysia due to travel restrictions enforced amid the Covid-19 pandemic, have returned home.
A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Kuala Lumpur, carrying the passengers, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 6:50pm on Wednesday.
Tahera Khondoker, deputy general manager (public relations) of Biman, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
All of the returnees were screened in Kuala Lumpur airport for Covid-19, an airport health officer in Dhaka said.
Earlier on May 13, 160 more Bangladesh nationals had returned home from Malaysia.
