A tri-nation webinar, Rebuilding Economy, was held to discuss the impact of coronavirus on economy, on Saturday.
The webinar, consisting of three speakers, was co-organized by JCI Dhaka Uptown (Bangladesh), JCI Dehiwela Mt.Lavinia (Sri Lanka), and JCI Navsari- JEN (India).
The first speaker, Mr. Fathhi Mohamed from Sri Lanka, Co-Founder and COO of Yoho Bed, discussed how peoples’ lifestyles would be affected by the epidemic. He also discussed how companies would sustain themselves and handle their employees during and after the crisis.
The second speaker, Mr. Nirmal Parekh from India, corporate trainer and HR solution provider, spoke about the approach needed to be taken by mainstream companies to keep up with the competition.
The final speaker, Mr. Sajid Amit from Bangladesh, Associate Professor, ULAB, leading academic, researcher, and investment banker, explained how the crisis affects business sectors like ready-made garment, retail, restaurants, on demand technologies, banks and financial institutions. He also discussed how the crisis may shape behavior towards public gatherings in the future.
The one and half hour-long webinar was attended by over 200 people.
