The Advisory Council has given final approval to the draft of the “Welfare and Rehabilitation of Families of Martyrs and Injured Students and Public in the July Uprising Ordinance, 2025”.
The approval was given at the 29th meeting of the Advisory Council on Thursday. The meeting, held at the office of the chief adviser in Tejgaon, was presided over by Professor Muhammad Yunus.
The notification said that the draft of the “Welfare and Rehabilitation of Families of Martyrs and Injured Students and Public in the July Uprising Ordinance, 2025” was approved in principle and finally in the meeting.
The draft has been approved subject to the vetting of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Department.
In addition, the draft of the “Government Jobs (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025” was approved.
In a press release, the Cabinet Division said that the draft of the “Government Jobs (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025” has been finally approved, subject to the vetting of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division.
The meeting decided that the Cabinet Division will assess whether the recommendations of the Reform Commission are implementable. If they are, the possible time frame for implementation and the potential impact or implications will be presented to the Advisory Council through the Cabinet Division.
The Cabinet Division will be responsible for overall coordination in this regard.
In addition, the Advisory Council meeting approved the proposal to sign the “The Protection and Conservation of Fish (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025”; the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Bangladesh and the Netherlands on Cooperation in Naval Defense Equipment; and the draft “Welfare and Rehabilitation of Families of Martyrs and Injured Students and Public in the July Uprising Ordinance, 2025”.
The Advisory Council meeting gave guidelines on the recommendations of the Reform Commission that can be implemented immediately.
