The names of two police stations, located at the two ends of the Jamuna Bridge in Bangladesh, have been changed.
The announcement came through a notification from the Police Section 2 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday, reports Bangla Tribune.
Bangabandhu Bridge East police station under Tangail police has been renamed Jamuna Bridge East police station.
Similarly, Bangabandhu Bridge West police station under Sirajganj police has been renamed Jamuna Bridge West police station.
Earlier, on February 26, the government changed the name of the Bangabandhu Bridge. The official name of the bridge is now Jamuna Bridge.
