The Chief Adviser's Press Wing has said some Bangladeshi media outlets published reports with headlines claiming that the US has suspended its foreign aid to Bangladesh, but in reality, the US implemented this measure for all countries for the next three months as part of a review process.
"US President Donald Trump recently issued an executive order suspending US aid to all countries for 90 days to review it. But it is noticed that some Bangladeshi media published reports using only the word Bangladesh in headlines, which may mislead readers," said a post of the press wing facts from its verified account.
It also said the interim government expects more clarity from the media to avoid confusion by publishing such news.
