The government will distribute onion seeds again among farmers in Madaripur, Gopalganj, Pabna, Rajbari and Faridpur districts.
The Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday took the decision at a meeting with Agriculture Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury in the chair.
Agriculture Secretary Dr Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian was present at the meeting held at the agriculture ministry’s conference room.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers of related districts and upazilas, Department of Agricultural Extension and Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation officials, among others, joined the meeting virtually.
