The government on Wednesday made Election Commission Secretary Shafiul Azim an officer on special duty (OSD) at the public administration ministry.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Tuesday announcing the decision, which was made under the authority of the president and in the public interest.
The directive, signed by Deputy Secretary Jamila Shabnam, is effective immediately, ensuring Azim assumes his new responsibilities without delay.
