The government has taken no decision regarding the resignation of President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the chief adviser, spoke to the reporters outside the Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus’s official residence at State Guest House Jamuna around 12pm on Wednesday.
"Various demands arise from different quarters. We cannot respond to all of them," he added.
When asked about the ultimatum given by the anti-discrimination movement for the president's resignation, Shafiqul suggested directing the question to those who made the demand.
In response to the ongoing protests, security has been heightened around Bangabhaban.
