All government officials and employees must submit their asset statements by November 30, Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Dr Md Mokhlesur Rahman announced on Sunday.
From next year onward, the annual asset statement would have to be submitted by December 31, the senior secretary told a press briefing.
Mokhlesur said that if irregularities were found in the asset declarations, government employees might face reprimand or even dismissal from their jobs, depending on the severity of the offence.
The official added that any false information would be subject to punishment under the relevant regulations, saying this applied to all government officers and employees.
