The government has promoted 136 deputy secretaries and officials of equivalent rank to the post of joint secretary.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday, reports BSS.
Twelve deputy secretaries have been promoted to the rank of joint secretary but will continue to serve as deputy secretaries until their replacements take office.
In February 2018, the government promoted 391 deputy secretaries to the post of joint secretary while 154 officials were promoted to the rank of additional secretary on August 29 the same year.
The government on September 20, 2018, promoted 154 deputy secretaries and officials of equivalent rank to joint secretary.
