The Home Ministry on Thursday promoted 268 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl-SP).
The ministry promoted the officials following the recommendations of its Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), which is headed by Public Security Division Secretary Md Mostafa Kamal Uddin.
The promoted officials will work at their current stations until further notice, according to a circular from the Home Ministry.
