New BD high commissioner to UK Quaunine joins office

He succeeded MA Hannan in that position on Friday while the latter went on retirement, says a press release issued from Bangladesh High Commission in London. The decision to appoint Quaunine as the new envoy to the UK mission was made in September last year. Quaunine belongs to the 1985 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre. In his diplomatic career, besides being the Ambassador of Bangladesh in Indonesia & the UAE, he also served in Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC, Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva and Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and London in various capacities, the release also said.
