BNP delegation to visit China, Fakhrul hopes for discussions on mutual interests

Fakhrul expressed hope that, along with enhancing mutual cooperation, the visit would further strengthen longstanding friendship between the two countries

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the party’s visit to China will include discussions on increasing bilateral cooperation as well as matters of mutual interest between the two countries.

He made the statement while speaking to reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday night.

Fakhrul said the five-day visit will include meetings with senior leaders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). 

He noted that China is an economically powerful country and that Bangladesh could benefit economically by utilizing this strength.

According to BNP Media Cell Member Shairul Kabir Khan, a nine-member high-level delegation led by Fakhrul is visiting China at the invitation of the ruling CCP. 

The delegation was scheduled to depart Dhaka on a China Airlines flight at 10:10pm.

Fakhrul expressed hope that, along with enhancing mutual cooperation, the visit would further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
