Zaima Rahman arrives in DC to attend National Prayer Breakfast

Members of Congress and the Senate will attend the function, and US President Donald Trump is expected to address it

Barrister Zaima Rahman, the only daughter of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting chairman Tarique Rahman, has arrived in Washington, DC, to attend the "National Prayer Breakfast" event in the United States on behalf of her father.

She arrived in Washington, DC, on Tuesday from London, UK, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

Zaima Rahman is the granddaughter of the proclaimer of the great independence, one of the sector commanders of the Liberation War, and shaheed president Ziaur Rahman, as well as former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Additionally, on January 10, a delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was also invited to attend the National Prayer Breakfast event.

The invitees include BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.

They left Dhaka on Sunday for the USA to attend the event.

The event is scheduled to take place in Washington, DC, on Wednesday and Thursday.

The National Prayer Breakfast Foundation organizes the annual event, where dignitaries from various countries around the world gather, regardless of political differences, to pray for world peace and humanity.
