BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that Indian singer Asha Bhosle will continue to live in the hearts of people through her timeless songs. He noted that her extraordinary versatility in music elevated her to a unique stature.
In a condolence message on Sunday, he made these remarks following her death.
Mirza Fakhrul said Asha Bhosle was widely regarded as one of the most iconic and versatile singers in the subcontinent. Over a career spanning more than eight decades, up to the age of 92, she recorded thousands of songs not only in several Indian languages but also in various foreign languages. Her remarkable ability to adapt across genres—from classical and folk to pop and ghazal—took her to unparalleled heights. He expressed deep sorrow at her passing.
It is noted that Indian singer Asha Bhosle passed away at a hospital in Mumbai at 12:00 noon on Sunday.
