Envoy: Iran keen to enhance bilateral relations with Bangladesh

Iran is keen to strengthen its bilateral relations with Bangladesh across various sectors, including trade and commerce, culture, energy, education, and health.

This interest was conveyed during a courtesy visit by Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mansour Chavushi, who met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Sunday.

During their discussion, both parties exchanged views on mutual interests, with the Iranian envoy expressing the support and cooperation of the Iranian government towards the interim government of Bangladesh.

He emphasized the desire to advance bilateral engagements, particularly in economic areas.

Chief Adviser Prof Yunus welcomed the Iranian gestures and expressed gratitude for Iran's support regarding the Rohingya crisis in global forums.
