Bagdad Sharif’s Motwalli invites PM Hasina to visit Shrine of Boro Pir

Iraq’s Bagdad Sharif’s Motwalli Hazrat Sheikh Khalid Abdul Quader Monsoor Al Jilani (R) on Sunday invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit the Shrine of Boro Pir Abdul Quader Jilani (R).

He extended the invitation while paying a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at her office in the National Parliament.

In a news briefing, prime minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Noorelahi Mina said that Hazrat Sheikh Khalid Abdul Quader Monsoor Al Jilani (R) told the premier about Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s visit to the Shrine of Abdul Quader Jilani (R) in 1974 during his visit to Iraq.

He also presented a photograph of Jalipaak and a gilaf of the Shrine to the prime minister.

Mentioning that the relationship between Bangladesh and Iraq is friendly, the Motwalli said people of Bangladesh respect the Boro Pir a lot.

Sheikh Hasina said that after the devastating Nimtoli fire incident she adopted two Shia girls and arranged their marriage ceremonies like her daughters.

She thanked Hazrat Sheikh Khalid Abdul Quader Monsoor Al Jilani (R) for visiting Bangladesh.

Abul Hasnat Abdullah, MP, Kazi Keramat Ali, MP, PMO Secretary Mohammad Salauddin, former member of parliament Qurayeshi, Anjuman Kaderiya Bangladesh President Md Mahbub Ul Alam, Treasurer Syed Mamnoon Quader and its member Ziaul Jamal Abu Swaeed Siddiqui, among others, were present.
