Ambassador Achim Tröster has said that Germany is a reliable partner of Bangladesh and that he is "happy" to see the election day was "rather peaceful".
"I'm happy that the election, at least the Election Day itself was rather peaceful. But I think we can all be happy and Germany, as I said, is a reliable partner of Bangladesh," the German ambassador said while replying to a question at the "meet and greet" event of Foreign Minister Dr Ak Abdul Momen at the Foreign Service Academy.
"And we are committed to cooperating with Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi people also in 2024 and we are looking forward to it," he said.
"And in this sense, I wish all Bangladeshis on their way to development. Happy New Year and all the best. And we are at your side," he said.
