Bangladesh is India’s "most trustworthy partner" which was reflected through Bangladesh’s participation in the G20 Summit in New Delhi in September.
Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma made the comment when Vice President of Consular Corps of Bangladesh and Chairman of The Asian Age Shoeb Chowdhury called on him at the High Commission on Wednesday.
Pranay Verma sounded optimistic that the existing friendly alliance between India and Bangladesh will become more consolidated in days to come, said a statement issued by the Shoeb Chowdhury's office.
They shared the fact that the export volume from Bangladesh to India is increasing on a high scale, which strengthens the trade balance between the two countries, as they exchanged views on further boosting economic ties.
Shoeb Chowdhury is also the Vice President of India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI).
Shoeb Chowdhury spotlighted the cultural bonds between the two countries which is bolstered by the spirit of 1971.
He expressed gratitude to Pranay Verma for the cooperation and support India extended to Bangladesh during the Liberation War of 1971 as Bangladesh is passing the month of victory.
