Bangladesh will soon send relief to flood-hit Libya, the foreign ministry has said.
More than 2,000 people were killed and at least 10,000 were missing in Libya in floods caused by the huge Mediterranean Storm Daniel, which burst dams, swept away buildings and wiped out as much as a quarter of the eastern coastal city of Derna, Reuters reports.
Officials expect the death toll to rise much higher.
The foreign ministry said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had issued an order to send relief materials to Libya.
A C-130 aircraft will soon leave the country with medicines, dry food and necessary items.
