Three members of a family from Bangladesh have been killed in a road crash in Saudi Arabia’s Dammam while they were returning after performing Umrah.
The deceased are Mobarak Hossain, 48, his son Tanjil Abdullah, 17 and daughter Mahiya Mahi, 14. The injured are Mobarak’s wife Shikha Akhter, 40, elder daughter Mithila Farzana Mim, 19.
The injured family members are undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Saudi Arabia.
The accident took place on Saturday morning.

Mobarak’s elderly mother Alaya Begum became speechless after hearing the news.
According to family sources, Mobarak along with all his family members left for the holy Mecca to perform Umrah in his private car. After performing Umrah, they were returning to their house in Dammam on Saturday around 10 am Saudi Arabia time.

On the way, when they reached a place called Al-Qasim, a vehicle hit their car hard from behind. Later, their car overturned, leaving them seriously injured.
The police rescued them and took them to a local hospital where doctors declared the three dead.
The remaining two are said to be undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The deceased Saudi expatriate Mobarak Hossain is the elder son of Sheikh Mohammad Ali alias Mohan Sheikh of Ghazirtek village of Hajiganj under Charbhadrasan upazila of Faridpur district. Among his five brothers and three sisters, four brothers are Saudi expatriates.
Mobarak Hossain had been living in Dammam, Saudi Arabia with his family for over two decades. He had a car repair shop there. They came to visit the country with their family four months ago.
After getting the news of their death after the accident, their relatives in this country burst into tears. Since then, the family has been mourning. The surrounding environment has become heavy with their tears.
