Biman is going to start flights to Narita, Japan in September.
The flights will be operated three days a week.
Tahera Khandkar, general manager (public relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, confirmed the information on Tuesday.
In November 2022, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali said: “We wanted to inaugurate flights to Narita in Japan on November 29 (2022), but that is not happening at the moment. However, we will inaugurate flights on this route in March next year (2023).”
In the meantime, an air traffic agreement has been formed between Bangladesh and Japan. Japan has also allowed Biman Bangladesh Airlines to operate flights. Biman will get fifth freedom facility in operating flights in the country.
