The 46-member rescue team led by Bangladesh Army joined the post-earthquake rescue operations and assistance in Turkey on Friday.
Confirming the news, Senior Staff Officer (media cell) at Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters Shahjahan Sikder said the rescue team left by bus for Adiyaman city.
The expert team reached the quake-hit country by Air Force aircraft C-130 at 9:45pm Thursday Bangladesh time after a 24-hour journey.
The team consists of a 24-member medium rescue team from the army, a 10-member medical team and 12 members from the fire service and civil defence. The rescue team is led by Bangladesh Army's Lt Col Md Ruhul Amin, PSC.
