Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen is due to brief diplomats stationed at the Padma state guest house.
The briefing will take place at 4 pm on Thursday, reports UNB.
This is going to be the first such briefing after the 11th parliamentary elections, and formation of the new government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for a third conservative term.
A diplomatic source said: “Bangladesh is likely to seek additional support from the international community to achieve its development goals including the Sustainable Development Goals and an effective role in resolving the Rohingya crisis.”
Apart from global and regional issues, the briefing will likely focus on economic diplomacy.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam and Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque are also due to attend the meeting.
