Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will arrive in Dhaka on October 3 on a three-day official visit, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith has invited the Indian finance minister to discuss various issues, including the quick implementation of the $5 billion loan for development projects and defence-related procurements.
Jaitley is also scheduled to deliver speeches in two different events at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon on October 3 and 4.
He is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Indian minister will leave Dhaka on October 5.
This will be his first visit to Bangladesh since the Modi government came to power, after his previous official trip on July 2 was postponed.
Arun Jaitley has been serving as India’s finance minister since the Narendra Modi-led ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took office in 2014.
