Representing Bangladesh's thriving organic tea sector, the presentation titled "Expanding Global Market Access and Seizing Organic Tea Market Opportunities" stored international acclaim, says a press release issued on Wednesday.
Situated in Panchagarh, Tetulia, Bangladesh, Kazi & Kazi Tea Estate is the country's one of the first internationally certified 100% organic tea garden. They prioritize fair labour practices, sustainability, and community development through education, healthcare programs, and employment opportunities for local women.
Their organic farming methods promote soil health and reduce harmful pesticides, and they are committed to environmental sustainability through reforestation efforts.
With more than 500 foreign and local participants from 25 countries all over the world, Afra Abreshmi, a management trainee of Kazi & Kazi Tea Estate, was the sole Bangladeshi woman presenter, illuminating the path to global market expansion.
Her presentation received enthusiastic praise from a diverse international audience, reshaping perceptions of Bangladesh's capabilities.
