The Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) organized a leadership talk titled ‘Career Journey of a Development Practitioner’ at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on June 5.
Anirban Bhowmik, regional director, Central and East Africa for Swisscontact, was the guest speaker of the discussion while Professor Imran Rahman, vice chancellor of ULAB delivered the opening speech of the program.
The discussion focused on the International Development sector and career opportunities for young professionals.
Associate Professor Sajid Amit, director of CES, moderated the event.
Following the Leadership Talk, there was a lively question and answer session where students, young professionals and others asked questions to the experts on various issues.
The speaker of the discussion, Anirban is leading Swisscontact’s journey in the Central and East Africa region to make it a resilient organization. Before relocating to East Africa, he was the Country Director for Swisscontact Bangladesh. He also designed and managed a large-scale private sector development programme for UK Aid in Bangladesh.
He has also served several geographies as an international development expert, including South and South East Asia, Eastern Europe and South America.
