On November 18, 2025, the Election Commission released the updated electoral roll ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.
According to that roll, the number of voters during the February 12 general election was 127.7 million. Of them, 64.8 million were male voters, 62.9 million female voters and 1,234 transgender voters.
The latest data shows that the country’s voter count increased by 628,057.
In the past, the EC published draft electoral rolls on January 2 and final electoral rolls on March 2 every year.
However, the Electoral Rolls Act 2009 was amended in 2025, empowering the Commission to publish voter lists at any time of the year.
