The list showed a total of 12.77 crore registered voters, including 6.48 crore men, 6.29 crore women, and 1,220 transgender voters. While men slightly outnumber women nationwide, the gap remained narrow.

Northern constituencies show higher voter counts, such as Thakurgaon-1 with 5,11,629 voters (over 2,55,000 men and 2,56,000 women), while hilly and border constituencies register fewer voters.
Officials highlighted a notable rise in women’s participation, signaling a positive trend in democratic engagement. The inclusion of third-gender voters has also grown, reflecting a more inclusive electoral process.
The EC said data-driven preparations ensured an updated and accurate voter list, forming a key foundation for a fair and participatory election. Analysts said the voter statistics could significantly shape political strategies, particularly in targeting women and young voters.
