The ruling Awami League will hold an election rally at the Kalabagan field in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi on Monday ahead of the national election on January 7.
Party chief Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is slated to address the rally as chief guest at around 3pm.
Awami League Dhaka North President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman will preside over the rally, while the party’s general secretary, Obaidul Quader, will speak as a special guest.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday allowed the Awami League to hold its electoral rally on Kalabagan field in Dhaka on Monday.
The DMP, in granting approval, outlined 20 conditions for the rally. These conditions include obtaining permission from the owners of the venue, ensuring that the rally and election-related activities are confined to the allocated area and not causing any sound pollution during the event.
