A woman has been jailed for three days for roaming in the secret room of the polling booth in the Rajshahi City Corporation election.
Director of Public Relations of the Election Commission M Shariful Alam confirmed the information on Wednesday.
He said that the incident took place on the ground floor of Talaimari Darul Ulum Senior (Alim) Madrasa, Centre No 141, Ward No 28 of Rajshahi City Corporation.
The woman, identified as Sabia, repeatedly entered the secret room with women voters, which the commissioners saw on CCTV monitors. They contacted the presiding officer and the executive magistrate came and jailed her for three days through a mobile court, M Shariful Alam added.
