EC Joint Secretary and Director (Public Relations) SM Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter on Thursday, reports Bangla Tribune.
He said that the dialogues will be held with JaPa from 11am to 12pm and with Bangladesh National Awami Party from 3pm to 4pm on September 5.
“Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal has been trying to gain the trust of various quarters including political parties since taking charge. And for this, after taking responsibility, the new commission started to discuss with different circles,” he added.
In the first phase, the commission held a dialogue with the registered political parties from July 17 to July 31 regarding the 12th National Assembly elections after exchanging views on electronic voting machines (EVM).
As many as 28 political parties participated in the dialogue while nine others did not respond to EC's call.
Earlier, JaPa said that the party can give time for the dialogue after August. Bangladesh National Awami Party wanted more time because of its anniversary.
