Razzak praises govt officials’ roles during election

‘Fakhrul-Moudud say different things; they are not on a common ground’

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak has praised the roles of the government officials during the general polls held on December 30.

The minister said this while speaking at a reception held for the new MPs at the Tangail Municipality Complex on Sunday.

Razzak, also the presidium member of the Awami League said: “BNP tried to create problems in  the election in many different ways, but they failed.

“On December 30, the people of the country did not vote for us, but gave their verdict in favour of us.”

He further said: “Mirza Fakhrul and Barrister Moudud say different things; they are not on a common ground. BNP lost is the election due to the disunity among party leaders.”

“The BNP is still trying to plot new conspiracies to make the country unstable. They made a mistake by not participating in the 2014 general polls,” Razzak said.

He further said: “The BNP is a big political party who was in power for a long period of time. But now they have been detached from the people of the country.

Tangail District Awami League President Fazlur Rahman Khan; Tanvir Hasan, MP; Ataur Rahman Khan, MP; Hasan Iman Khan, MP; Sanowar Hossain, MP; Ahsanur Islam Titu, MP were among others, present at the program.

Earlier in the day, the minister attended an exchange of views program at the deputy commissioner’s office with all top government officials.

At the time he said: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will implement all her promises she gave in the election manifesto, in the next five years.”
